Spain.. A moment of clarity on my part

Thats if it had not happened already!!
I watched Newsnight last night where yet again they focused on the Euro crisis, last nights star performance was not Greece but Spain for a change.
Spain is basically telling the rest of Europe to just give them(the banks) 40 Billion Euro or else. There is not even any apologys or a even any kind of groveling, just a big GIVE ME IT OR ELSE, and we have no intention on giving you anything back.
The Spanish might as well be all armed with sawn off shotguns and robbing what they need as they shout to the rest of the world "You will never take me alive copper".
This is'nt going to continue for much longer, it seems like everything has now being thrown at the Banks, taxpayers money, fiddling with the money markets, and just plain old letting people off with countless Billions of pounds of debt.
For all of you that borrowed way too much money from the dustman in Greece to the big fat Banker in Canary wharf your time is very nearly up.
PAY BACK TIME, on your own back with no excuses. I always wondered why the was never a Euro symbol on my keyboard, now I know why.

I don't see much clarity in this post.
First you accuse spain of being bank robbers and then you accuse us of borrowing from Greek dustmen.

I think you will find Spain is a very different kettle of fish to Greece.
Their level of debt is less than Germany's and they have already cut public spending for a start.

Again that was said last night, "they can not afford to let Spain to fail"...
Just like they cannot allow Portugal, Italy, Greece, Cyprus etc etc to fail.
I think in the next few months or even weeks maybe they will all have the bit between the teeth, and the message will be bail us all out with no comebacks.

You only have to look at our own United Kingdom to realise we struggle to transfer wealth from say south to north.
I don't think most strong European countries feel that strong a bond that they are willing to prop their supposed brothers and sisters.0 -

Are you sure you have not got a euro '€' symbol on your keyboard OP, I only found it on mine a couple of weeks ago, it's hidden in the corner of the 4 key and you have to press control and alt and the 4 together.

This is why the Eurozone is now approaching a fork in the road, and need to choose whether to move towards a US of Europe or towards reintroduction of seperate currencies for each country.
If they choose the "one country" road then Germany will become the equivalent of the SE of England and will have to subsidise the poorer parts of the Eurozone. They will have to stop talking in terms of bailouts, as the transfer of wealth will have to become routine with no prospect (or indeed any requirement) of repayment.

You can't use the phrase "moment of clarity" when talking about Western finance, and especially not the Eurozone finance.
It's about as clear as mud to most observers. All the deals will be done behind closed doors.0
