NatWest e-Savings

Does anyone know how many e-savings accounts you can have with Natwest? I'm trying to set up different 'pots' for holidays, emergencies etc.

Well I have 3 although due to the low interest rate they are unused. AFAIK you can have as many as you wish. :)

    They're not all paying 1% interest. A lot of people's e-savers have a 1.85% bonus offer, making them 2.85%.

I'm not saying that's great, but as instant access accounts go it's not too bad.

Some, like myself, are getting 3.12% variable with bonus until Feb 2013. I only got offered this having closed my previous account when the bonus ended.

I advise against keeping NatWest e-saver accounts that you are not using as it may rule you out of getting a similar offer in the future. On the other hand it is a great mystery exactly who did and did not get these selective bonus offers so I suppose it just possible they may in the future offer bonuses to existing account holders that they do not offer to those without these accounts.

Same here, but I had the impression they were a bit unusual. I got mine by closing my 1% e-saver.

  • how do you close the e-saver?....just a letter to B/M announcing intention to move to another brand or how?
  • You have to write to them to close e-savers. If you click on account details it tells you the correct address. I closed three recently when the bonuses ran out - two had the same address, one was different.

I didn't get an acknowlegement of my letters, but in due course they all disappeared from my online banking.
