I have some faulty electronics to throw away (printer, freeview box, dvd player). I heard that they can be salvaged for the precious metals inside and some places would pay for them.
Does anyone know where I could sell broken electronics? I think it would be a waste to throw them away.

You can take them back to the shop or recycling centre for recycling. Whatever money you could get will not cover the fuel/bus fare taking them there.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Sell them on eBay, marking them as "For parts/not working" as opposed to New or Used.
I've sold a number of faulty items therein without difficulty
Look for other similar completed sales to see what you could get for them0 -
you could repair them and sell them on0

I've had the printer on ebay for months now but had no interest even though its quite new. The other things are too old and not worth the effort of fixing as I might not get anything anyway (also I wouldn't know where to start
).
Do rag and bone places collect these things and are they worth any money at all?0 -

I would suggest if they don't go off ebay, they're probably valueless......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

They may take them from you, but doubt very much they'd give you anything for them (except maybe a sprig of lucky heather!)
If the printer still works, see if you can donate it to a local school/charity, otherwise a trip to your local recycling centre. How do I add a signature?0
