0% Credit Card for Car Purchase

Hi there,
can anyone advise i am looking at purchasing a car in the not to distant future for around 10k, i will be making a 5k down payment and the rest i would like to spread over 12/18 months, is a 0% credit card the best way ?

    I don't think that's an awful idea. Just make sure you have the credit card in hand with the 5k limit on it.

    As long as you can repay the rest of the £5k over the interest free period, then I'd say go for it. If you're nearing the end and there's still a balance you can't clear, balance transfer it elsewhere to enjoy more 0% :)

    It would work, but depends alot on your credit history as to whether you will get a 0% card, let alone a 5k limit.

    Also worth noting some garages will charge you a fee from 1% up to 3% fee for paying via CC.

    I paid for part of my car with a credit card. £2200. The bloke said that it was a 3% charge (£66) and I said I wasn't paying it and would look elsewhere for a car.

    He reduced the cost of the car to absorb the credit card fee :)
