Thursday 7th June - What small DFW things will you do today??!
Sunshine22_2
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :j

Good morning all,
Well insomnia struck again so I've been super productive all morning (and washed my hair when I got up early so saved on electric for the hairdryer :rotfl:). House is almost sorted for my inspection today, just need to make my lunch to take to work and finish washing up!
Anyhoo, today's plan:
* Keep up the cold meds, prob not as MSE as not trying to treat the symptoms but I can't imagine how annoying I'll be without them!!
* Check bank, massive discrepancy on available and actual balances so keeping a close eye to see what's about to go out!
* More washing on the line (inside again)
* Another day of work.
* Finish and submit application form for second job
* Off to see Mum after work (she's a bit depressed bless her) so will prob cook her dinner (from her freezer :rotfl:)
I think that's about it. Hopefully a NSD, don't feel like I have had one for a while!
Right, off to finish the big clean up! Have a good day all, here's hoping Natlie had an amazing day yesterday, DNMS is having a good holiday! Hugs to all who need them!

Hi everyone :hello:
Thanks for all your welcome backs yesterday
I still feel like a bit of a fraud posting considering the mess OH and I are in and still getting into. Just need to hang in there until OH gets a job and then we can start paying off the debts once again. Feels so surreal to only be able to scrape by and paying min payments on everything.
NTBY - great advice as always on yesterday's thread. Check you with your make up on
Here's how I'm hanging in there today:
- Walked to/from work
- Giving OH a lift and picking him up to save him 4 bus fares
- Did a meal plan and shopping list
- Free cuppa x 2 in work and not at home
- Cheapo soup for lunch
- £2 for lotto syndicate - got a £3 survey so that covered it and will also get me a ticket for Saturday night
- More tidying round tonight
- Shifting money around
- Reading free books - free ebook, library books and books from a friend - so much to do for yoga course!0 -
Afternoon all,
Thanks for starting the thread Sunshine
Many congrats Nat !
Today I have/will:
• Meals and snacks from stores
• Checked banking
• NSD if I could possibly make it
• Need to pay in £10 cash hubby paid me back yesterday – trying to reduce amt of cash in purse = less chance to spend it !
• Lottery money paid into a/c so moved money across to AAT fund
• Moved pennies to AAT fund after a DD has gone out
• Checked AA rewards
• Charged mobile at work
• NSD today
• Keep my head down today – busy day
• Used railpass to get to and from work
• Read paper online and freebie paper
• Off to WW tonight....not holding up much hope as I have temporarily lost motivation !
read through today’s comments and respond when I get home
Have a fab day
