Along these lines I have found a place local to me that sort of recycles bikes - no pun intended!
They are reconditioned by cycle enthusiasts and sell for around .£70. Hoping to pay them a visit tomorrow & they say they have a good selection of ladies bikes.
Thinking of going for a roof mount for them so I can access the boot.
