Single Beds?

Could you put the two singles together to look like a double?0

I'd leave the two singles as they are. People sometimes are unable to imagine whether two singles would be too cramped and , as another poster has said, if its a family property not all bedrooms would be required as double bedders.
Putting the 2 singles together seems the worst of both worlds to me - if I was wanting to present a room as a double then I'd be using the smallest double bed available ( as they do in new property show houses)
Having a "double" that would be 6 foot wide would scream "this room is small" IMO0 -
Viewing feedback is to a large extent random. The agent demands effectively a reason why they did not buy. "did not like it" is probably not accepted as adequate and will lead to heaps more interrogation but "too small" is hard to argue with. I suspect that many viewers faced with the demand for feedback actually seize on some unarguable comment.Debt_Free_Chick wrote: »A very fair point. Only take notice of feedback if you know it to be true or if it is a theme which recurs.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

You're spot on. I doubt anyone ever gets really honest, candid feedback.
In my case, I just have to be patient and wait for that one person who likes the property to come along. It's a rural property - a "one off" - so I just have to ..... wait. Fortunately, in no hurry to sell.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

I wouldn't worry, not with 5 beds. Leave it as it is.:)0

I've just found a buyer for my 3 double bed house. Two of my bedrooms, which are extremely large have double beds and masses of space left even with the addition of chests of drawers, wardrobes etc.
The 3rd bedroom is probably what is considered a standard double, measuring approx 11' x 12' with fitted wardrobes. It currently only has a single bed in, but once had twin beds. When viewers came, although they could see there was plenty of space for a double bed, I always mentioned that it used to contain twin beds quite comfortably and that it of course was perfect for a double bed too.
Sometimes you just need to point out the possibilities with some viewers and with a house of your size, I wouldn't bother investing in a double bed unnecessarily. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
