Hi folks,
Im just after a bit of advice.
Im looking at buying a used car from a dealership.
I have savings but dont want to use them all on the car.
im wondering whether I can do it on credit card(s)? I have just got a new 0% credit card and am thinking that instead of paying interest on a loan (if i pay part savings and part loan) i could put it on credit card and have 0% - pay off as much as i can and if necessary when the 0% runs out i could transfer the balance to another 0% or pay off (if poss).
Just wondered what the "rules" were around this - and could i split it between two credit cards if necessary?
FYI - I am a geek with money and all CCs are paid off - im justn looking for the best way of getting a new car (looking at reducing my running costs!)
Thanks guys!

Nothing to stop you but they will probably charge you a fee to use your CC, you could make it part of the haggling to not charge you.
Tell them its a deal breaker, and haggle for mats, fuel, and money.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
as above they will typically charge you 3% of the amount you are paying on the cc i.e £150 on £50000

Some will do it for free, but only if you buy the car at the advertised price. If you pay cash, they'll knock off at least a similar amount of money, or throw in goodies such as mats, full tank, 12 months tax, etc.
So generally, it'll still cost you more, but if you need the car (rather than just want the car), then its a viable option.0
