Cheapest place to get EPC

Putting my house on the market, whats the cheapest way to get an EPC. Estate Agents have quote £78.00 including VAT.

    Sorry I don't remember which one it was but it cost £35.

    Hi, Im new to selling houses but you could do what I have done.
    Our agent was asking £80 for the EPC, but I priced them online and found the cheapest to be £54, so I went back to my agent and asked them to match the price, and they did.

    ...erm , you contact them, get an agreed price, they send someone out, you pay and then they email you your EPC.

    Don't do anything via the EA's links - there will almost always be a mark up.

    Just make sure that you have it in writing that you won't get passed the bill in full should you withdraw the property from sale

    One estate agent I spoke to said they do them at half their normal price if I market my property through them! They wanted £125 !!

    just put my house on the market, payed 75 to EA - had no idea you could get the EPC somewhere else! :mad:

    Wow, everyone here got ripped off, mine cost £7.50 and that too was done through an online company. Sold November 2011, Will try to find the link.
