OU materials and books

I am an oldie and want to study an OU module, without paying thousands of GBPs. Don't want a degree but am interested in module SDK228. Does anyone know where I can buy second hand books and materials?

Have a look at the OU's Openlearn section where you can study hundreds of courses free using online resources.

There used to be an OU student newsletter (called 'Sesame') that always carried advertisements for used course materials. Sadly, when it changed to an on-line format they stopped carrying advertisements, but maybe they have been reinstated since then. Otherwise, have a good look on the OU website using the term "study pack": this means buying the course materials but not getting support from a tutor, and the cost is a good deal less than enrolling for the course.

there is a facebook page for this now, sorry I can't remember the exact name of it, but you should be able to search it up. If not, look for the students general OU page (not the official OU one) as it was mentioned on there recently

OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.

Amazon often has most textbooks you need at a reduced price since lots of students sell their old books there. Hopefully you will find the ones you need!
