Slow start up.

Hi
My PC running Windows 7, has been taking ages to load on start-up recently. I have checked what programmes are running at start-up and it is only the bare minimum but I have got a warning notice on hidden icons stating that "Intel RST service is not running" I just thought that this may have something to do with it.
Any help gratefully received

is the INTEL RST thing you see running.

How much ram for you have? how old is the laptop etc...

Thanks for the reply, it's a PC with 4 GB of ram and the INTEL RST is not running hence the warning message I am getting.

You can also uninstall Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology or Intel(R) Rapid Storage from your computer using the Control Panel applet "Add/Remove programs".

Or you can run MSCONFIG from RUN and disable it from starting see if it makes your PC faster?
