My husband had a letter about a policy he isn't aware he has or what its for?
The letter goes into details about provident insurance and gateway insurance going into MMA insurance or something. Anyone know about this or can help us figure out what type of policy this would be.

Any Insurance through Swinton Insurance brokers ?
It might be that, as MMA own Swinton and some of the policies they offer are underwritten by various companies who are part of MMA.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
He had car insurance with swinton about 3 years or so ago but no-longer with them, would they still send out a letter even though no-longer have anything with them.0

Possible, if they have accidentally picked up some data that related to expired policies. This has happened before, where people have received letters, where they are no longer policyholders with the company concerned. Perhaps they do it deliberately, as there may be customers who have potential claims still in the system.
If the letter was of any significance to you, they would have written specifically including the policy number. Sounds like a bulk printed letter. The comments I post are personal opinion.
