Ukpc - can they effect your credit rating

Hi,
I have read a few threads on here regarding UKPC and 'Parking Charges.'
The general consensus as far as I can tell is to ignore them and they will eventually go away as they will not want to waiste their money taking you to court.
My only concern with this strategy is regards to my credit rating. I am slightly worried that it maybe affected negatively and as I will shortly be applying for a mortgage do not want to put this in jeopardy. Does anyone have any useful advice regarding this particular aspect when dealing with UKPC.
Many thanks,
James.

The only way your credit rating would be effected would be if the case goes to court , you lose and THEN you fail to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. This is such a remote possibility that it's not worth worrying about.
Don't forget that PPCs and their tame debt collectors are just private citizens, they are not bailiffs, and they have no more power than you or me to demand money off people. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Unless you sign a credit agreement with someone (which you HAVEN'T with this PPC) they cannot affect your credit rating without (a) taking you to court (unbelievably unlikely), (b) Winning (blimey!!), and then (c) you still refuse to pay up within 28 days.
Note that (a) and (b) are totally unlikely and that (c) is still within your complete control anyway.
So no, they can't just affect your credit rating.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
UKPC have never ever taken anyone to court anyway.0
