  • My credit card statement came in this month at a record all time low!! ..... although I doubt next month will be as fortunate :(

I'm hoping that when my wages come in a weeks time I'll be able to stick £300 straight onto my loans.

    fingers crossed x
  • Pay day tomorrow!!!

We seem to have done really well for the first three weeks of october and then gone crazy ands blown the budget on the last one :(

Another £100 from ebay to add to the loans though.

I'll update more tomorrow when the money's in the bank.

Just wanted to say "hello". you seem to have been doing really helop and we all have the odd blip no comment how much I have spent over the weekend!.

Also - I think congratulations on your new job? If I have read right you went for and got the job.

Good lok with the house move... things are pretty stagnant up here at the moment.
  • thank you mookybargirl and Peb..... nice to know someone's still read this!!!

I think we've pretty much given up hope of selling before xmas now :( We'll probably go back on at easter with one of the internet seller seeing as the local estate agents have been so bad. We actually received a letter yesterday addressed to the guy who back out of our house sale telling him that the completion date would be three weeks ago! Talk about incompetance!

On a more positive note..... managed to put £450 on our loans this month from overtime and my partners mileage claims :)

    Getting there slowly.....
  • Yey!! A break on our mortgage (whilst we switch to a cheaper deal) means we have been able to pay off £500 on cahoot loan.

    :):):)

Hello Gingernut, I've just read your entire thread and think you're doing great. Long may it continue and good luck with the house sale if you decide to go ahead again next year. Things are completely stagnant round by me - we're trying to sell a perfect FTB place for less than £100k, bought it, did up to sell, 3 offers in first couple of weeks, 2 sales fallen through, nothing since...
  • it's so disheartening isn't it :(

We had so much interest 6 months ago but now the market is so flat. We're coming off and then going back on in march which will make it a year since we first started trying to sell it.

Our estate agent tells us the house is too nice!! Apparently these days people look for something that needs some work...... maybe we should add some lovely 1960's carpet or paint the lounge black :)
  • I have just checked my cahoot loan balance and it now stands at £1552.60!!!

Considering it was over £4000 4 months ago I am really pleased :):):)

Most of that has come from serious ebaying. My house is now empty.... wonder what I'd get for the wife!!!
  • thanks for the message tustastic.

I'm proud to say that I have done at least 90% of my xmas pressie shopping. We wrote a list 3 months ago of who we were buying for and set maximum spending limits.

I used £30 in pig points from pigsback to get three peoples present.... essentially costing us nothing other than our time :)

A lot of my other gifts have come from ebay and shopping through quidco.

We've made our own xmas cards and using brown paper to wrap them with colourful ribbon I found in the loft.

Now I just need to write a list for food and drink....... yum!:snow_laug
