Fitness First CVA - Can I cancel?

I'm a member of Bristol Harbourside, a club being sold. I currently pay £38 but notice they are advertising outside a new fee of £32.95 with no contract. Is this happening with other clubs? If so can I ask to get my membership reduced to this price, or should I wait until they are sold and see what happens e.g. a budget chain buys them, or worse a more expensive one?

Just two days ago I was in FF Lewisham with the 7day free membership form O2 Moments. When I asked about longer term membership I was told that they are no longer issuing any and that if I want I can pay £30 per month, one month at a time, no commitment, until they know what happens.
I asked when will the gym be taken over and the manager said about December. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Hello Fitness First company representative.
You appear to be responding to a query asking a general question.
Would it be possible for you to answer that question in the thread?
I did ask that on 6 June, but you appear to have overlooked that... see post #5.
I am sure you understand that a great benefit of this type of forum is that we can all make use of answers provided to other's problems.
If the discussion 'disappears' into email conversations, then that benefit disappears too.0 -
Hi Wealdroam.
There would be cases when a cancellation would be possible. However this depends on circumstances . Please email cvaquestions@fitnessfirst.com with your personal details where the team will be able to look into this for you. Thank you.“Official Company Representative
