Hi
I am about to register a .com domain (all this talk about what's your site worth!!)
Can anyone tell me what's the cheapest you have found? Not wanting space, just want to register the name.
I'm off to research, but any advice appreciated.
Cheers

I'm not sure if it's the absolute cheapest but I always use http://www.ukreg.com and they've always had helpful customer service and I like being able to manage all my .co.uk and .com domains in the same place."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

The worth of a site is generally really based on the amount of traffic it attracts and this means it has content, a newly registered domain name, unless it is something very meaningful are only worth what you paid for them generally.
Appraisal sites will value your name, but it is very unlikely to sell. I do have sites with content and a healthy stream of visitors with established names and it is difficult to sell those. So your chance of selling a new domain name is next to nothing.0 -
Oh, yes, I know that thanks. It's just a domain I want and seeing the other thread reminded me about it! It's not for the money making aspect, otherwise I certainly wouldn't want to buy the name I am getting! :rotfl:
I already have a few sites, and even the largest & most established in't worth much ....... "even" if their estimate was correct!0 -
Godaddy.com offer .com's for $8.95 (includes 1 free email address)or $1.99 if you order another none domain service like hosting from $7.98 or 50 email address for $19.99 a year.0
