Just to reassure Newbies,
So far I've ignored CP Plus at least 10 times.:D
They've spent money getting my address from the DVLA.
I've ignored them.:D
They've spent money printing out their pathetic letters pretending to have authority they don't have.
I've ignored them.:D
They've spent money posting their pathetic letters to me.
I've ignored them. (Not entirely true, I did giggle a bit as I opened each one).:D:D:D
They've spent money engaging a debt collector (again who pretends to have authority they don't have).
I've ignored them.:D
They may have spent money trying to find my telephone number.
If they rang me, guess what I'd do?
Yep, I'd ask who was calling, put the phone down and...... ignore them.:D
So I guess the message is clear. CP Plus and the other PPC scum are best ignored. Have you ever been ignored? It's horrible isn't it. Ignoring them is the best form of the '2 finger salute' you can give these low life scum. To me they are no more of a problem than the Nigerian Prince who occasionally sends me emails wanting my help getting £50,000,000 out of some bank etc.:rotfl:
Cheers

Well done
can I just say this applies to all private parking companies, not just CP Plus who uses Moto's VAT number on their letters Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Yes, well done, we do need more customer testimonials to reassure posters that our methods do work and there is nothing to be worried about.
How have you managed to get to 10 letters though?0 -
In light of the VCS case, are not the VAT men on their tail yet?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

By being the registered keeper of our fleet of delivery vehicles.
Sometimes our drivers need to rest in the middle of the night when travelling on the motorway network. I obviously think this is sensible and so do the Govt according to their illuminated signs. Sometimes the drivers sleep through the alarm they have set for 1.5 hours, a sure sign that stopping was the correct action.
I fail to see how a van parked in one of hundreds of empty parking spaces at 3am justifies a parking charge of £80. If sent a polite request for the correct parking fee plus actual costs I would pay it by return post but as the first contact is laced with threats and no request for the correct amount I consign the letters to the bin, like all junk mail.0 -

A parking ticket for falling asleep in a motorway service area is the service area owner's way of telling you that they'd prefer you to drive on still tired.
Of course, they'd prefer you to go in and get the "£5 meal deal". Or a cup of coffee and a Mars bar, as it's also known.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I never buy anything in a service area unless it has a fixed price, like a magazine. As with airports, the policy of high price/low turnover does not in my view maximise profit. I would willingly patronise them if I didn't constantly get the feeling of being ripped off.0

Agreed. Ever since my drivers never do anything other than use the toilets at motorway service areas.
The extortionate price of fuel, low quality of food slopped up to a captive market and now being preyed on my scamming low life PPCs ensures motorway service areas are the last place any of my drivers spend their money.
From £100's a month the motorway service areas now get £0.00 from us. Well done PPCs.:T0 -
Yep, typical parasite situation, never mind if the host suffers so long as they get their money...0
