Always totally exhausted

Well the title says it all and Im really just looking for some advice. I am a working mum of 2 small boys aged 5 and 1 and at the moment I feel totally exhausted constantly and its starting to get me down!

We have had a tough year with the little one who has only started sleeping through in the last month or so, however I dont seem to be feeling any better getting an unbroken nights sleep I would say I am feeling worse. I work and find that as soon as I am in the door from work its, dinner on, sandwiches prepared for next days lunches, boys bathed and then to bed and then Im so exhausted I just want to fall into my own bed, it takes me all my strength to stay up and have an adult conversation with my OH.

Housework seriously gets to me and I cant relax not knowing its done so all that gets to me as well as there just doesnt seem to be enough hours in the day, can anyone give me advice on beating the tiredness and learning to relax.

Thanks in advance folks :(

You're working, cooking, making sandwiches, giving baths and doing housework, what is your OH doing?

    Yes, exactly.

Is there any way you could get a cleaner in? I totally appreciate they are a luxury for many but everyone I know who has one says they are more than worth the money, to be able to come home to a clean house and not worry about it. Perhaps you could get one to come every fortnight even, so you know the house is getting a good going-over once every two weeks.

I hope things improve for you :)

If you don't fancy a cleaner (I know when I had one sometimes it was quite intimidating having someone else in your house) what about using an ironing service or something like that to take away that work from you.
I feel for you, I don't work at the moment but have 3 kids and will be working after I get married. I'm worried how I'm going to cope with it all because I have no energy now!
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! :p

My OH does help as much as he can, he works long hours as well though but does try and do his share, some nights he baths the kids while I get on or he brings in the washing and makes the sandwiches. He was home early on Monday and had the dinner ready when I came home (however it is just heating up the bolognese I had prepared the day before)

I had thought about getting a cleaner in, its just getting on top of me and it would be great to come home from work and know it was all done, even if it was just my kitchen and bathroom and perhaps all my windows (the glass panes on my inside doors drive me insane with grubby fingerprints lol), its not difficult to stay on top of the hoovering and dusting I seem to manage to keep on top of my ironing, OH takes the kids a walk on a Sat or Sunday morning and I try and get it all done then. xx

I'd say speak to the docs about the exhaustion too...and maybe the housework is a touch of OCD?
