Strange focus of your title.
Bear in mind it's just a prediction, one that predicts the UK average to be up 1%The Centre for Economics and Business Research predicted that while house prices would rise 2pc in the South East this year, and 2.4pc in London, prices would fall 2.7pc in the North East and 2.2pc in Scotland.
Overall it expected prices to rise by 1pc in the UK, following a 1.5pc fall in 2011.
It's interesting they put their predictions down to percieved demand. I'd be interested to know how this is determined.
Personally I'm seeing good city properties under offer within a week of going to the market. Conversly, I'm seeing some rural properties staying on the market for some time:wall:
