Hi All,
Sons birthday next week and we really want to get him a laptop but we are on a limited budget - £350 max but preferably under £300.
i know it's not much but it's all we can afford.
Today we've been round PC World, Comet and Tescos - I have also been looking online and I've ended up in a right tiswas so I thought I would ask here for advice!!
He will be doing his howework on it, watching iPlayer and playing games so really I just would like to know what anyone can reccomend and what, if any, are the best deals around...
I can go through quidco etc so that might make a difference with cashback or if there any other vouchers or deals that would be great.
If anyone has any recommendations or knows of any good deals - please can you let me know.
All the very best and many thanks in advance,
Gordon.

Dell Outlet..?
(wont let me post a link)
Sorted by price, low to high, any of the first dozen or so currently on the site are all running i3 processors (intel's newer range of chips) with a decent amount of RAM and HDD and come in at around £300 including VAT..
They'll either be refurbished or 'scratch and dent' which, in my experience (I've bought a few from here) will be a slight cosmetic blemish..Beeeeees!!0 -
I got my teenage son a laptop from Student Computers about 18 months ago.

Terrific value - he gives it a right bashing - on it for hours and it's been as good as gold. That was under £300.00. It's NOT just for students either. They "Grade" their products but even the B- ones etc are more than acceptable.
I'd not hesitiate in using them again0 -
dixons are still advertising a tosh satellite c660-258 core i5 laptop with 500gb hdd and 4gb memory for £349.99 and theres currently 15% off which takes the price to just under £300 with standard delivery.
link is here http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/search-keywords/xx_xx_xx_xx_xx/q-c660-258/xx-criteria.html
dont know when the 15% off offer is due to end all it quotes on website is "while stocks last".
