I have on occasions during a months banking exceeded my overdraft limit by as little as £10 and at the most £72.
I use internet banking and i am aware that i have funds in an instant access account.
In previous months the bank have taken the over my overdraft limit from the savings account to bring the account within the limit to avoid charges.
This month i have been charged £75 for going over on 3 occasions for at the outside 3 days which has included a weekend period.
When i have again logged onto internet banking and seen the excess limit i have immediately credited the account.
I challenged the bank today about the charges and asked why they had not taken the funds from the savings accout and i was told that they are not always in a position to do that.
They say the charges will stand.

Yes, this is clearly because the Bank accepted that people make mistakes on occasion and so they elected to do for you what you should have done yourself. In previous months the bank have taken the over my overdraft limit from the savings account to bring the account within the limit to avoid charges.
This means you have exhausted the bank's patience and from now on you'll have to operate your account properly if you don't want to incur charges. They say the charges will stand0
