I have just sold my car and the lady asked if she could fill the trade slip in as she has a business.
I said fine, but noticed that she didnt sign the trade slip she left me and took the rest of the log book. I have a receipt sign by her, and have emailed her to say it isnt done propoerly. Problem is when i look up the business and address its not coming up.
do i just sent the trade slip to dvla with the receipt? what can i do please?

Yes, and take a copy first.0 -
By "has a business", do you mean she is a motor trader who sells cars for a living?
Otherwise, she should sign the first section just like everybody else and be given the green slip (not the yellow one) for the purposes of taxing the car. You must keep the remainder of the V5 and send it yourself to DVLA to discharge your responsibility for the car.
If you've given away the whole V5 and she doesn't do a thing with it (and isn't actually a motor trader), she could rack up all sorts of parking and speeding tickets as well as never pay another congestion charge again. They'll come knocking on your door.
If she is a trader, then you must send the yellow slip as usual (make sure you've signed it too), but what the DVLA do with an unsigned one is a matter then only they will know.
Personally, I would only ever allow a yellow slip sale at a car trader's premises, rather than with any tom, !!!!!! or harry that knocks on my door. It pays to read paperwork thoroughly before the pressure of the exchange so you know who signs what and you can check it's correct and stand your ground if necessary if they don't sign.0 -
Op do as mickey says but also sign the traders signature with your own and put pp at the side
DONT SEND THE RECEIPT THOUGH YOU NEED THAT
Next time remember the job aint done till all the paperwork is complete, this is key hand over time and they tell you how wonderful you are:D0
