Changing Energy criteria
Hi everyone, I am really sorry if anyone has posted on this previously but I couldn't find a similar thread.
My wife and I are currently in the process of buying a nice and shiny 3 bedroom home which has Gas and Electricity. We currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment which is also fairly new (2006 completion), however we only have electricity in our apartment and no gas. I was wondering if anybody knew of a tool that would be able to roughly predict my new energy usage with dual fuel compared to my electricity only usage at the moment so I can see who will give me the best deal when I come to move. At the moment I am struggling as I don't have any gas usage stats to put into the comparison sites and I'm getting a little stressed about how much it will cost.
Thanks in advance for all your help:D

Assuming gas CH and DHW, then typically you can work on 3,500kWh electrcity and 16,500kWh gas for the purpose of a comp site check.
Don't assume that a dual fuel deal will always be the cheapest.
Since gas is less than a third of the cost of standard rate electricity, the overall cost should certainly be less, even against E7. However you will have the cost of boiler maintenance and annual servicing to add.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
