According to http://www.virgin.net/allyours/broadband/
So, if you're not in a cabled area, you have to pay BT £10.75/month for the landline on top.Non-cable Broadband
Home sweet home
You can get Virgin Media services whether you live in an on cable or non-cable area. On cable is delivered by fibre optic cable and non-cable down your BT phone line.
Which means £19.99 is just for 'up to 8mb' broadband and all UK 01/02 calls of up to an hour.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
So would you agree that Vodafone at Home is the best package for Phone and Broadband? £25 a month for unlimited 8Mb and landline rental included with free calls to landlines, sounds too good to be true!0

Those last 5 words always worry me - time to study the very small print IMHO!Desperate_Dan wrote: »So would you agree that Vodafone at Home is the best package for Phone and Broadband? £25 a month for unlimited 8Mb and landline rental included with free calls to landlines, sounds too good to be true!

...but if the person doesn't live in a cable area then they will have to pay BT for line rental and VirginMedia for calls and broadband. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Even if you live in a Virgin Media cable area you dont have to take the cable service. You can still take the Ex Virgin Net Broadband and CPS,and use BT for your line rental.0
