I need to buy memory cards as I have been given two digital camcorders
One is a Vivitar iTwist 615 DVR which states it needs a SD memory card (up to 16mg ) class 4 or 6 high speed.
The other is a Vivitar digital camcorder 538 HD which says it needs SD memory card ( up to 16gb )
I want to make the best of it but I just don't understand, there are so many choices. I've been looking at this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-16GB-Speed-memory-Class/dp/B002WGIV4C/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
but will it work in both. Am I paying over the top just to learn.
What do you reckon please ?

More options here
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=node%3D561932&field-keywords=sd+cards&x=0&y=0
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dcomputers&field-keywords=microSDHC+16GB+Card&x=22&y=23
You may need to check with the seller about the class of some of them
You could get smaller capacity cards for images, then if the card goes wrong you can use another one and not lose a lot of images
Some cards prefer to be formatted in the camera you will be using it in0 -

Are you able to borrow a card from a friend, at least so you can see what quality images and video you get from the cameras?
If you cannot borrow a card, one option is this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-4GB-Digital-Capacity/dp/B000MX48VM/ref=sr_1_14?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1338911408&sr=1-14
Even if you do not like the quality produced by the cameras, the card would work in a lot of other cameras
Have you got a photo printer and DVD Writer if the quality is acceptable?
If you do not get on with the cameras then you could consider selling them0 -

Sandisks from Amazon
16gb class 4 SDHC card £8.99 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK
16GB SDHC Extreme Class 10 £14.03 & this item Delivered FREE in the UK
Basically memory cards are highly counterfeit goods, buy only from retails you really know, rather than random market place sellers.
First will do both, class 4, but to be fair, neither are sorta top of the range recorders, so class 4 should do. Future proof buying a higher spec in the future, the second card would do, but may or may not work in the current cameras. (might just be too high spec to work)0
