Kitchen shelf paper??

Hi

We've just had a new kitchen installed and I want to line the shelves with paper to help keep them clean, as I've always done but this time am struggling to buy shelf paper.

I've always got from a stationery shop but tried everywhere including on-line. Any suggestions? I don't want sticky / contact paper or wallpaper, just plain or ideally patterned that I can cut to fit.

Found some online in US but they charge $100 to ship to the UK!

Any suggestions on where to try online?

I didn't know you could buy shelf paper....I always use washable wallpaper for ours - just wipe it over every now and again to keep it clean :)

Would greaseproof paper or baking parchment do it?

we always use wallpaper on the shelves in the cellar but find a clean of the cupboards more effective than dust and mite grabbers in our cupboards in the kitchen

Yes - I've always got it from stationery shops - a company called Edsol in Leeds used to make it along with baking paper items such as cupcake cases etc. I think they have gone bust now.

I found these http://www.walmart.com/ip/Duck-20-x-6-Smooth-Top-Easy-Liner/16456553 which is just what I want but cannot find anywhere in UK that sells or supplies it.

Incidentially, I tried Lakeland and even contacted them as they are good at sourcing things but they came back with nothing. Will keep searching!

I want the paper to stop the cupboard shelves getting scuffed/scratched rather than to keep them clean. My cupboards and shelf paper (!) get cleaned and changed 4 times a year so don't have a problem in that department!
