When it says 'ready set go' the football is tossed into the air. You have to move and click your mouse under the ball on its way down to 'push' it back into the air again. The longer you keep the ball in the air with the mouse the higher you go up the leaderboard - and walls are useful too as it seems to give shorter bounces against them rather than just zooming around in the middle0
