Came across this file on my laptop with descriptions of old software i have deleted,is it safe to delete from this folder.My laptop is Win 7 64 bit and i only want to delete stuff i know i have already deleted and don't use anymore.

Is it a file or a folder?
Is it a folder called C:\Program Files (x86)?
If it is the above folder then this is where you non-64bit programs are installed. You do not want to delete this folder.0 -
It is that folder,so i cannot delete the stuff inside the folder that is leftover from previously deleted programmes.I don't mean delete the whole folder.0

Like Hoofehearted said, don't delete the whole folder,
but you can treat it the same as 'Program Files' folder in XP
So, yes, safe to delete left-overs from previously un-installed progs.

I'd recommend running a program called "ProduKey" on your machine, so that you can grab licence key numberos of installed programs.0
