Looking through my accounts I've found a few instances where things I've bought for my business have receipts with DH's name on. I often buy books to do with work from Amazon, for example, and although the Amazon account is in my name the "Dispatch to this address" has his name and I have receipts which say Invoice to.. [his name]. He really is nothing to do with my business.

Then there are utility bills and insurance - these only have his name on. Does that mean I can't claim a share of these expenses? I get pay for them as I'm part of the household.

How important is it that my business receipts have my name?

I just remembered he ordered an ink cartridge for me.... there's another one.

The business receipts are real important so as to not open a challenge from HMRC where you would have to prove that the transactions were business related and not personal.
