Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Well it depends what sort of shower are you thinking of using? Electric or thermostatic? It will also depend of your mains pressure as you may find the flow rate is poor and the shower goes cold during the actual showering!

Try mrcentralheating.com they have some great deals on combis...

there are lots of combis at about the 500/600 quid mark.
they all run a shower ok. they are useless at filling a bath!
(just make sure no uses anything else whilst the shower is on).
    Get some gorm.

Well I have an Aqualisia PBV (Pressure Balancing Valve) Shower fitted to my Combi and have no trouble...
Even with the washing machine going all is fine... the pressure of the shower drops a little when the WM fills...
    But no burns :D

As for a combi.... Worcestor (Not Cheap but the Mutz) o r Glow-worm :money:
  • On advice we had a baxi condensing combi - its great (high flow rate) - only one failure in its 18months - new years eve the circuit board went - no heating or hot water fror 5 days while BG tried to get a replacement !!! However I would have another one - it does exactly what it says on the front !!! and its economical
(it cost about £960 for the boiler and the programmer)

    Hi

Why not fit a decent boiler and get the benefit of it?
If ,when you sell, a buyer comes around and sees a good boiler they know it's one thing they won't have to worry about .(and if they don't notice , point it out.) Might make your property easier to sell.
