less tax free allowance of 7479 ie. 18231.46

on which you pay 20% ie. 3646

this can be a cause of great debate but conventionally the last digit is a 5 not a 9
so tax would be close to the penny to the P60 £3647.092

    Thanks Clapton and OOec25.

I maybe being dumb here, but, can you let me know how the PT of £634 is calculated, when I look at the HMRC table for 2011-12 it's showing £102 week. Which is £5304 a year not £7225.

    I should have mentioned I am a category A.

Any help you can give is very much appreciated, I am just trying to gain a basic understaning to be able to check my P60 myself.

    Thanks

For 11/12 £102 a week was the Lower Earnings Limit (LEL), the Payment Threshold (PT) for employees was £139 a week. The LEL is the earnings you require to be treated as having paid national insurance but you do not actually pay untill your earnings reach the PT

Hi, What would the "national insurance contributions in this employment" on my p60 with gross pay of 36,000 be? Need it broken down to LEL, LEL up to PT, PT up to UAP and UAP up to UEL. Many thanks

If you know the meanings of LEL, PT and UAP surely you can work that out for yourself using the published rates.

The figures that you want may not be correct if worked on an annual income, if you are paid monthly you need to work them out on monthly pay and if weekly on weekly pay.

I am asking for this information as I have to send my P60 to my mortgage broker and the national insurance information has not been filled in( by hand) by my employer. He is a foreign national who does not reside in this country for much of the year. I cannot get the information any other way as no-one has access to the info while he is not here and he does not like to be contacted for what he would call something trivial. Dont ask, that's the way he is. I need help fast if that is possible please. Many thanks.
