There were no sanctuary bags left on shelves in Preston today. However, I saw an SA with a basket putting various items back on the shelves and lo and behold she had a sanctuary bag, so I politely grabbed it off her :j

Was able to use £2 from wrap £3 from mag £3 from previous bag on body scrub and cleansing lotion (didnt dare try the wipes after I had trouble last time). All went through fine, but I forgot to hand over my 200 points voucher

Helped out a lady who was just going to buy 1 No7 suncream with her voucher... told her it was BOGOF so she grabbed another.

There were loads more MF boxes but I didn't get one.... already have one and was too nervous to get another after other peoples stories of mean MF SA's

Wanted to get the benefit's bag with the 2 sharpeners but I couldn't see the bags anywhere, although they were advertising it. Does anyone know if they are normally on the counter or hidden away. No SA around to ask?

Does anyone know if the following will work:

1 x Sanctuary skincare item (from the Times list)
    1 x Sanctuary bathing item
    + free bag

Then use the Times free skincare voucher, but also the £3 voucher from the bag? Or would my second item need to be skincare and not bathing for that to work?

the second item needs to be skincare, you can also use the £3 mag voucher too :D

has anyone used any of the £5 sanctuary vouchers today? They worked fine for me yesterday but would not scan at all today?
  • ok , need help and advice. i got it all wrong yesterday in boots, had a fight with the store manager and called customer serivces... heres my story...

on friday i payed twice for products with points and was refused no 7 vouchers so i called customer services and they added 1000 points to my card.
anyway , yesterday i went into cowly retail park boots and looked for san free bags but none. i had tony and kids with me and got a bit stressed as he gets stressed with me when i bootsing grrrr (sorry going of subject here).

ok first off i got - fcuk 3 for 2 this came to £7.25 . i used my points card to pay and asked for my number 7 voucher but she said no. i told her ive had all this yesterday in oxford and had cs add 1000 points to my card. she said the till never told me to give you a voucher so no. i asked for the manager. he came over (jumped up little upstart) and said no , the sas is right , you dont get one. i said your wrong and i phoned cs. he said well call them again then and walked away !!!! grrrrrr
i still had shopping my basket as i planned to pay in bits to get the no 7 vouchers. by now i got a bit flustered.

ok , next items - fcuk sports bag
    heinz spag bol
    cherry coke
    san hand lotion

the vouchers wouldnt go thru and she said they wont go thru the till. i said well i have the £10 spend with the fcuk bag (to used the wrap voucher), also had the voucher from mag for san product. so what happened ?? yes she called the manager. and tony (my partner walked out the shop lol). the manager tutted and said over ride it . so it showed up at the bag cost £8.00 and san product 95p. they shut the till and i said im sorry but wheres my no 7 voucher ??? so yes she studyed the recipt and gave it me.

next (this is where i went tits up) i =got-

    heinz spag bol 1.19
    coke 95
    san hand wash 3.95
    march mag 0.00

now i thought , thats over £5.00 spend !! so handed the voucher and it wouldnt go thru. think it was the one from the pamper bag. she said i'll over ride it , so it looks like the san product is 95p on recipt now. so no voucher !!!! i was in a right state by then and said oh what ever !!!

walked out and called cs, they said they would give me 500 points for the trans on my points card but if it happened again i need to stay in store and get them to ring.

so !!!!ed off with how it went. do you think i can get the two sant products refunded ??? but they show up as 95p on recipt !!!. i know i used vouchers but what happens when you have used vouchers to pay and you want a refund ??? my partners so fed up with me , im having to wait till monday to go get them refunded lol.

    any advice.

ps also just got the times and voucher out of it :rotfl:

The reason the mag and bag vouchers didn't through is that they're only valid on Sanctuary skincare and the hand wash and lotion aren't classed as skincare. So you did well to get them to override the tills to give them to you.

Edited to add that to get the no 7 voucher you have to pay (with cash/card or gift card or points) over £5. So they were correct not to give you one for your last purchase as what you actually paid was under £5.
  • i asked the girl are they classed as skin care and she said yes.. when you sit at home you have a plan but it goes soooooo wrong sometimes dont it. oh well.

yeah. now im home i can see the spend was under £5 but when your trying to suss things out it adds up at the time dont it !!! or is that just me lol

i def tried to use the £5 voucher against skin care (the new style toner) but it would not go through the till at all...

The skincare range is in the white and silver packaging. You can see the whole range here on the website:
    http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/flexible_brand_treatment.jsp?classificationid=1042895&wblinktype=SITD

That said, if they'd already been messing you around with the no 7 voucher/paying with points that wouldn't have put you in the best frame of mind for thinking straight on everything else. It sound like CS need to give the stores more information about the vouchers/points.

Sorry deb, my post was for mel not you. I don't know why the £5 voucher wouldn't work on the toner. I used one on the cleanser a few weeks back but only had the one voucher so not had a chance to try it on anything else.
