Hiya,
Dundee has 3 stores which I'm aware of thus:-
Lochee High Street store which seems to have any reduced stuff on a regular basis by their back door on the left of the store as you go in at the back. Although their prices in general can be a little dearer compared to the city centre store. (I'm in this store most often for convenience.). It's a single floor store with a bit of everything in small numbers, but with limited cosmetics. By this I mean, no benefit counter, clarins etc etc. Big pharmacy counter though which is pretty busy. Oh while I remember NO ADVANTAGE CARD MACHINE HERE!
High Street / City Centre store - only reduced stuff is usually baby clothes on the top floor beside the lifts, although now and again you get some reduced shampoos mixed in with the ordinary shampoos. Their prices seem to match the website most of the time, and the prices the rest of you find. (Second visited most often store - they had the lipstick bags for a while when the others had none). This store is over 3 floors, ground with the pharmacy, food, and general smellies, 2nd floor is the make up, seasonal, photo counter and electrical, with the 3rd floor being for babies, toys and opticians along with the fitness stuff. ONLY ONE ADVANTAGE CARD MACHINE ON 2ND FLOOR, LOCATED NEAR THE BACK DOORS BESIDE THE NO7 / SOLTAN / SUNCREAM AISLE.
Broughty Ferry store - not there often with parking often a nightmare but they rarely have the same offers as any of the other two stores. For example, when the No 7 suncream was on BOGOF and reduced theirs was still coming up at full price and not BOGOF, so beware. Mind you this store is stituated in a more afluent area of the town which might be why. Again a single story with a small mix of everything but with a limited make up range. Big pharmacy counter though, like Lochee and fairly busy. NO ADVANTAGE CARD MACHINE HERE EITHER THAT I COULD FIND.
All stores have the usual seasonal reductions such as at January sale stuff, Summer etc and for any Londoners visiting the meal deals here are only £2.99 (as opposed to £3.30 in London) and we get a choice of much bigger bars of chocolate than you lot do! (Just back from London after picking up a video ipod I won from a competition on here and was shocked at the difference in price and choice, but LOVED THE OXFORD STREET BRANCH). Oh and it's only the city centre store which does the meal deals.
Hope this helps and any questions about the Dundee Stores just ask ok.0 -
Hey Fenella!
What is the Health Club? Do you have to pay to join or is it like the parenting club, free?
Can you join if you are under 60?
Man, Boots is rubbish this month. I went in armed with 6 £5 sanctuary vouchers, they still dont go through the till. But the good thing is that you can then pay for the products in one transaction as the prices just get overriden. Therefore, you can gain a free luxury bathing/opticians voucher if you get my point
You can join by filling in this form. They ask you to choose 3 different topics that you are interested in and send you mailings + emails with offers related to your choices. Offers apply to any age.

Hi all
I have noticed a few people saying that they don't get offers through the post.
If you look in the latest Boots Health & Beauty Mag Mar/Apr 07 there is an article about the Advantage card mailing list on page 72-73.
If you haven't got it - basically it sounds like everyone should be sent regular offers - unless you opted not to receive mailings when you signed up for your card.
So if you don't get them ring the advantage helpline number which is 0845 124 45 45 and ask to be added to the mailing list (it says that they don't give your details to anyone else).
Hopefully you should get them then.
Even better still there is a Freephone no to call them on Look it up on Saynoto0870.com0 -
The freephone no is on the first page - or it was last time I looked. Can get through to other depts on this - not just advantage section.0

all easter eggs and confectionary (sp?) half price.
wonder if BOGOF is still on too, didnt have chance to look.I heart The Capital0 -
Called up about 6 times over the years, regularly check my card details, they are ticked as happy to recieve mailings, and CS have said the same.
Hi
If that's the case, if you haven't already I would write and complain get hold of a copy of the mag and refer to it - use the article as ammunition!! and quote that you have done as instructed in the article several times and you STILL don't get the offers sent to you.
You might get something out of it too!
ps you haven't got a dodgy postman have you?!0 -

I don't know about sunglasses (check the small print on the back of the voucher) but I chose some glasses from the £30 range, which would therefore have cost me just £10 had I not upgraded the lenses with anti-reflective coating as they are for VDU use - this added on another £35, making a total of £45. The person who served me checked the voucher carefully and was happy to accept it for this budget-priced pair of specs!0
