£10k new family car with looks
Looking for a new family car (not too big though), ideally a 1.4 TSI type or equivalvent engine. Not keen on diesel as I do only about 5000 miles a year and mostly in city drive.
Looked at Skoda fabia(http://www.skoda.co.uk/gbr/finance/offers/twenty-five-percent/Pages/default.aspx) , but I think for the money can get better looks (I know it's subjective). Like Kia Cee'd but they seem to be too pricey for all the goodies you would want.
Main criteria is economical with low toal cost of ownership and good looks.
Any suggestions from experts?
Could do with a nearly new car for the budget.

Have driven one of these, A pilar seems to obstruct driver view quite a lot.
So not for me.0 -

Looks are subjective... if it isn't a 1st gen Lotus Elise or Jag XK its ugly as hell imo

why care what it looks like on he outside, you spend more time inside.
Comfort, good drive, good visibility, features, on the inside.
I think the fabia estate looks better than the hatch0 -

To be fair, if I had one of the ssansyong rectums or whatever they're called, I'd need one of these

Perhaps marginally, but the estate still looks pretty ugly to me:0 -
Or you could buy a 2yr old model, avoid all the teething problems you often get with new cars, get top of the range (fully loaded) for less than the price you would pay for a new bog standard car........ Go for a larger vehicle and get even better value for money (which is what i'd do every single time).“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
