Can anyone advise what's best to do RE credit cards in my situation?

Hi all

I'm trying to help a friend out who has some debts...

She has a credit card with around £1800 on it and has a little more spending to do (another few hundred quid). She is currently paying interest at 26.9%

I've talked to her about BTs and explained what they are and how they work (she had never heard of them). I've also looked at the MSE article and written down the best deals for her.

Due to the amounts involved, would it be worth her applying for a couple of cards (in case the credit limits are not high enough)? Do some card providers tend to offer higher credit limits than others?

Any other good options aside from BTs?

Huge thanks in advance for helping a friend. :)

Max

Assuming she's kept up with payments etc. and her other credit history is fine, she shouldn't have much trouble getting a BT card.
Get a decision for one before applying for more, and include the BT on the application. If the first doesn't cover the full BT then she could apply for a second to cover the rest, but the more applications she makes, the more footprints appear on her credit file, and the more likely she is to face a decline.
