    Complain to your insurance company, presumably it was they who recommended the carpet company? If you chose them, tough s...T. Pick a more reliable company next time, e.g. John Lewis have a price match promise.

    Assuming the carpet fitting was the only job waiting to be finished (and no other outstanding jobs were dependent on the carpet-fitting being completed), why could you not have moved back in before the carpets were all down? And why was there a delay between 17 and 26 April? Was that down to the fitters or your own unavailability?
