    smelkel congratulatoions!! :j

We went to mr S half ten last night on our way home. You could tell OH had been on his own for a week as he wanted to buy pizza express ready made pizzas  No chance! Well until we got to the overflowing reduced section with jolly staff taking 90% off everything so got a trolley full of branded stuff (pizza express, covent garden soups etc), pasties, yogurts, cold cuts, cheese, breaded chicken, prepped veg. I was behind one woman who was making reductions when I got to the tills and no wonder she was so happy, her and her OH had a trolley full of 90% off meat :rotfl: Boy was I jealous of those 50p chickens, she had four! She must have a ruddy big freezer.
That should have been the last spend for the month but after OH assured me we had six pints of milk in the house, we ended up only having a dribble in a four pint bottle! I'll total up after getting milk today. I know I'm over budget a bit but we have a bulging fridge freezer and cupboards.

OH didn't cause too much damage to the budget while I was gone this time. Just found some moldy yogurt in the firdge and the cause of the horrible cheesy-sicky stink in the kitchen that he claimed was coming from the door handles. "did you try cleaning them?" "no" d'oh! It was something he'd left in the microwave and had gone seriously moldy- did not enjoy washing that up!

NSD here today, going to try not going in any shops at all till at least the end of next week. If I get tempted, I'll get the emulsion out and paint the dining room...

Congratulations on your new arrival, smelkel!!

No spend day today. OH made yummy veggie enchiladas with salad for tea as I went to the gym after work :A and they were fantastic! AND he made his own salsa with some of the leftover chopped tomatoes instead of going to Mr T to buy some - my cheapness must be rubbing off on him :D

Congrats smelkel! My ex sister in law had her third girl yest, so babies all round!!

Done my typical thing, of doing really well in the gc, then spending loads... Need to total up the spends now.

I'm here til the bitter end too, although not planning on spending any more this month!!

Had a bbq with my friend last night, but I felt so bad with a sun headache, I felt sick and couldn't eat anything at all! Still, I had the lo sausages today, and they were very tasty! Had them with some lo salad, and there's more lo salad for lunch tomorrow. Really enjoying salad at the moment, it's the right weather. [Having said that as a child we had salad every Saturday dinner!!]

I'm just watching cool runnings - haven't seen it for ages!! Enjoying a few of the choccies I was given at the end of term. A very mse treat!

Ok, so declaring my first month of GC as £500.24 / £400.00 on all food. and £110.64 / £100.00 on all households, including nappies, wipes etc. Bit rubbish, but i've learnt lots and am striving to do a lot better in August with me revised budget of £350.00 for all food take aways eating out etc and £75.00 on household. Wish me luck.

I have not been on here for well over a week and the amount of posts i had to read to catch up was crazy!!
Went into hospital on 15th to be induced but i had apparently already started so they let me carry on on my own... After 19 long hours my beautiful son was born and as you can imagine i have been kept busy by my lil man!! I have updated my sig for spends, i still have one week left in july but its looking promising. Just wondering if i can cut the budget even lower next month.. :-)

:j:T:beer: Congratulations and welcome to the world little one.:j:T:beer:

I have just added up my spends for the last week and I am at £110 for the last 17 days. Not too bad me thinks.Store cupboard is running down.
