What to do with unwanted tins

We had a clear out of the cupboards yesterday and we've got a number of tins of minestrone soup and the like that we're never going to use, is there some easy way of giving these away as it seems a bit of a waste to chuck perfectly good food out?

Church, homeless shelter, women's refuge, food bank - lots of places will take them just need to make a few enquiries locally.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
