Tiny white bugs on laptop!! Help!

I haven't switched or opened my laptop for a while as I had been away.
Opened it today and there were tiny little white/yellow coloured insects. I can't make out what they are, just look like little dots running over my keyboard!! Freakin me out!!!
I used a little handheld hoover to get some of them up but they keep appearing from beneath the keyboard!
My laptop was just propped up against a wall by the side of my bedside table. We live in a ground floor, fairly modern flat, so don't expect gross things like this!
Any ideas what it is and what I can do? Worried they're all over the flat now!!!

Mites of some sort I guess. I had one once in my camera, I could see it wandering across the scene while looking through the viewfinder. Harmless. They feed off bits of food, skin etc that have fallen onto your keyboard.
One suggestion is to put it in the freezer. However, it is possible that might damage the display, or the circuitry, so I would get a second opinion. The operating manual should tell you the temperature range it is usable in. If it is rated below zero, then the freezer is an option. Or put it in the fridge, on the lowest shelf. Again, check the manual, as it could be an expensive mistake.
I suppose you could dust with Pyrethrin powder, but that means getting dust into the case etc, not ideal. And it is mildly toxic to you, probably harmless really, but better to be safe.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
Quite an annoying experience for you I must say. May I suggest that yo use the finest nozzle on your vacuumn cleaner and try that way a few times, other than that you could take it along to your nearest computer repair shop and ask them th blast air through the workings of your laptop with their compressor.
I would check your instruction manual before doing any of the previous suggestions, and they indeed stressed in their posts.
The more I think abot it the repair shop sounds the best way, if you are a female, smile and they might just do it for nothing, just to get your custom in the future, worth a try

Hoover, and they'll vanish eventually. If not, seal it in a bag overnight with a very light spray of insecticide over the keyboard, but not enough to wet the keys, with the battery out. Give them a light scrub before using it again though. Choose a reasonably none toxic to people one as well.0

do you eat over your laptop?
Often they can be found on keyboards that are eaten over. the little creatures literally live on your keyboard.
Some fly sprays/wasp killing spray kills them, USING A CLOTH TOO WIPE KEYBOARD
HOWEVER I AM UNSURE IF IT IS BAD FOR YOUR SKIN OR MAY DAMAGE THE PLASTIC.(MAY DEPEND ON WHAT TYPE YOU USE, I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM DOING THIS ON SECOND HAND LAPTOPS I HAVE PURCHASED.)
And yes you can kill them using low temperature however i cannot remember how low.0
