Iberdrola Loan Notes

I have received a letter from Equiniti referring to the redemption of Unsecured loan notes I hold with Iberdrola.

I cannot find the loan notes and Equiniti want to charge a fee for the issuance of a letter of Indemnity

I telephoned Equiniti but they could/would not tell me the value of the loan notes or the cost of the Indemnity letter.

Is there any way I can get this information or redeem the loan notes without going through Equiniti and paying their charges.

I doubt whether you have any alternative.

Did you hold shares in Scottish Power plc which was taken over by Iberdrola SA in 2007?

I assume you changed your address without informing the registrars Equiniti, but do you have any documentation at all relating to any holdings in Scottish Power plc or Iberdrola SA?

I expect you've been contacted by Equiniti because the final date for redemption has now passed.

"Loan Notes can be redeemed on 30 June and 30 December of each year. If redeeming Loan Notes,
redemption instructions must be received by us at least 30 days prior to the redemption date.
The final redemption date is expected to be 23 April 2012."
