Faulty John Lewis Sofa

I brought a leather sofa from John Lewis at the beginning of April. When it was delivered the finish on the leather was completely different to the one in store and the colour was several shades darker. I am aware that with leather being a natural product, you do have to expect slight shade variation, but this was way different. I complained and another one was delivered. This had dents in both of the arms, looks like something may have been stored on top of it. A third one was delivered, this one turned out to have one arm loose and the frame on the underside broken. A fourth one was delivered, this one had one of the arms damaged, whereby the foam padding had been squashed thus making the leather baggy. I have had £250 compensation and they have offered me a further £400 off this one if I keep it. Alternatively, I can also have a full refund or delivery of a 5th sofa !!. I have to stress that their customer services have been excellent and I really love this sofa ( obviously). I paid £1200 for the sofa and all I really want is a perfect one, the same as I have seen on display in two of their stores. What should I do ?

make a decision!
- go for sofa number 5
- opt for the refund and shop elsewhere
- keep the one you've got and pocket a further £400
We have no way of knowing whether you will ever get *exactly* what you want but, as you say yourself you cannot fault JL CS - they are bending over backwards to satisfy you!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
