electric strip terminal - can amp rating be too high?

Hi all,
Quick question, I'm trying to connect in a car stereo and the connector strips have been damaged so I will be replacing them. I don't know the amperage that would go through them but to be on the safe side would it be ok to go with the highest amp rating (15A) even though 5A might be sufficient?
Is there any harm at all in using a higher amp rating than required for the purpose?
Sorry my electric knowledge isn't great, I might get someone else to do the wiring I just wanted to acquire the parts needed in advance.
Many thanks

There is no harm in using a cable of a higher rating than required (so long as it fits the connectors).
(It is dangerous to use a cable of a lower rating than the equipment, though.)0 -
The only potential problem I can see is if the connectors are too big to grip a smaller cable properly. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
