wonder if anyone can answer my question please
if you part exchange your house for a new build, do you have to pay buying and selling fees to your solicitor.
just trying to work out some figures.
and does anyone know a ball park figure

Depends on the deal from the developer, some will pay your fees.
If using a professional reputable firm of solicitors, expect fees of around £700 for sale and the same for purchase. If using on line conveyancers (I wouldn't) then approx halve that cost. Then add in your disbursements. A frequent visitor here is Richard Webster a conveyancing solicitor. Although he won't give you a link to his site check out https://www.rwco.co.uk where you can get a quote.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

The sixteen weeks are up on my original estate agents ans I nowneed to give two weeks notice
any ideas what I should put in the letter, am transferring to a new agent, at the end of the two weeks,
so dont want any come back from the old.
