Have been out shopping as I realised I may need to use the spare room next week and still hadn't got all the bedding. I now have single duvets, and small single sheets and mattress covers. Also used Lakeland vouchers that run out today, and picked up lots of avocados (49p for 2) and mangoes (96p for 2) which I now need to fit into my meal plan...

One load of washing on the line. Lunch eaten. Time to shove more washing in...

Back from DS2's party, which was stressfree and fun. DS2 enjoyed himself, although only 5 of the 12 boys he invited actually came. I partly blame the holidays and changed dates, but it is annoying when people don't reply. I'll have to come up with a different plan for next year.

Having a quiet moment with a cuppa, as DS2 had an invite to play at one of his friends until 4pm :j, DS1 has retreated to his room (after being a very supportive big brother who really enjoyed it that he was allowed on the play equipment ;)) and DH is still out at the club. Bliss.

The last load of washing is in the machine (DH brought towels in and pegged two lots out) and DW needs emptying.

Plan for the rest of the day:
HHC downstairs, sorting a few things in the kitchen and LR
    have a nap
set off early to collect DS2 - I need choc chips from the shop for my banana and choc chip Hermann
find a home for two lots of Hermann
    bake my Hermann
    HHC putting clothes away upstairs
    do tea
    get organised for tomorrow
do another HHC or two, decluttering

    Afternoon all,

Taking advantage of the fact that its dry and I have 3 loads out on the line, I have decluttered the LR, spare room and hall just need to take the hoover through these areas and then thats them done.

Girls are tackling their bedrooms with the threat that I will be going in tomorrow and anything not in its place will be binned seems to be working so far.

Ok off to hoover, then ironing while watching the tennis, I also need to make a banana loaf as have a couple of sorry looking bananas might get on with that first.

2 loads of washing in and dry
1 load hanging indoors (drizzling outside now)
    1 load currently washing
DW off for the 2nd time today

Cleared up general carp downstairs. I'm getting really fed up of silly little things being left around when it would be just as easy to pick them up and put them in the bin. Teens are using 'exam stress' as an excuse but I think that's bllx.

Also watching the tennis jjef and also need to make a banana loaf. I suspect my teens have been too lazy to eat the damn things and have waited until they go brown so they can eat the bananas plus fat & sugar and still claim they are being good by eating fruit

    Hugs to all.

We have all pitched in today and all downstairs is looking great:T

OH left for Newquay at 2.30 this morning:eek:..not back till Thursday.
I am taking LOs out for the day tomorrow...they really want to go to the Play area at Meadowhall..not my fave place but they get to go on the tram which they both love and at least its indoors so whatever the weather we will be dry.

Ploughing through a mountain of washing too at least its dry enough to be on the line.

Steam generator iron is broken and I want to cry...water tank has a big split in it...must have been dropped while I was away but of course no one has done it :mad::mad:

Another load of washing in just put load no.4 out and brought some in and folded it up.

    \love to all...

Laundry mountain is almost defeated... Although it is now raining so I will have to finish off drying it inside.

Kitchen table has been cleared, cleaned and polished and I am slowly working my way round the work surfaces (they are being polished as well as cleaned). I need to get stuff cleared and put away/rehomed/thrown out so I can start cooking properly again and eating at the table without having to clear a space. It really does need repainting, so will have to discuss it with my cousin when he is back from holiday. I don't know whether I need a break more than I need it finished!

The hall is almost done. I have a picture to put back up, the light fittings to take down and wash and the wine rack and chest of drawers to pull out and clean behind. Then I should be able to manage with normal hoovering/floor washing/dusting/polishing on a weekly basis so it shouldn't be such hard work.

Suppose I should get back to cleaning the kitchen so it is ready for me to make a mess of at suppertime :D

Been hedge slaying all day. 3 trips in the 4x4 to the dump and there is still more to take another day. BBQ for dinner.

    Plan:
    Run DS3 bath
    Do lists
Put away all the stuff in the garden
    Soak feet whilst hand sewing
Make sure DS3's stuff is ready for school tomorrow
Get kids to write Nanny birthday cards
