has any one got any suggestions for a fairly cheap way to make my very bright sunny south facing conservatory more shaded????
At the moment we have vertical blinds in there - but they are white and just add to the glare!
any suggestions are appreciated

You could get those screens made of split baboo canes and lay them flat on the outside of your conservatory roof. The material does not rot, you could keep it in place easily using bits of wire (or better still single core copper) and move it to the garage or loft for winter. My parents use something similar (although lates are made of green plastic) and it has worked very well for years.0
