Beetroot plant - Not the vegetable

Eighth Anniversary
Hi

I saw an indoor plant the other day and was told the common name for it is a ‘Beetroot’ plant – it had lovely Red leaves in lots of different shades.

It does not flower but keeps its red leaves all year.

I have tried Google & Bing but it only brings up the vegetable plant.

Can anyone help as to what its real name is or any idea where I could get one from please?

Thanks
Gilly

Was it a chard by any chance? they are in the same family as beetroots, they look similar and might fit your description. They are also vegetables. When you saw this plant, was it in some ones home/office or in a garden center? Do you have a photo?

Never heard of a beetroot plant, but could it be either coleus (solenostenom), dracenea, peperomia or caladium?
