Meths is also very good for cleaning windows .My father used to clean all of my Mums windows with meths and old newspapers0

I know it's an old post, but good tips never date. I had a brand new toilet covered in brown sticky tape and used surgical spirit on one side and Terps on the other conbined with a window/ tile scraper with a razorblade in it,
both came of no bother ( done gently though, didn't want to scratch the porcelein)

White Spirit (the stuff you buy from the DIY place for cleaning paint brushes) works too Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. They are broke!0
