Bank transfer gone wrong

I wonder if anyone could give me some advice on how I should approach this matter.
I was working abroad in Asia and had to leave some money in a bank account there, it was my fault that I had to do this as I left it to the last minute and in the end couldn't send it to my UK bank in one transfer as the amount was over the limit.
I left my bank card, pin and info with my friend/colleague and gave her instructions to on how to transfer the money (in this country money can be transferred on cash machines) I also told her she should keep a little money (£50) for her time. Overall it was almost £1800 that I trusted her to transfer. This was back at the start of March.
To cut a long story short, she left the money transfer to the last minute (she finished working there at the end of May). I sent her numerous emails begging her to do the transfer from March - May. I believe that she did the transfer on her last day in the country, 10 days ago, but she hasn't replied to my emails so can't be sure. But the money has not arrived in my British account. So either something has gone wrong with the transfer or she hasn't done it, she has now left the country so my money would be stuck there. Like I said, she's not replying to my emails so I don't know what has happened.
Basically, I'm looking for advice on how to approach the situation. I don't think she is taking it seriously, and I'm fairly desperate to recover my £1800. I totally admit that it was my fault for having the money stuck there, but I can't change that now. What kind of things should I be saying to her and how should I contact her if she is not replying to my emails? I'm so angry about the whole situation, that I'm not sure what tone to take with her. Up until now I have been friendly about it.

I know I was stupid! This is someone who I thought was my friend so it didn't cross my mind that she would steal from me (still don't think this is the case). I know that she was going back to live with her parents in the UK so could look them up in the phonebook to get in touch with her....

I think you can say goodbye to your £1800 she not only took £50 for herself I bet she took the lot.0

If you left your card and pin kiss goodbye to the money.
In cases like this when you have been incompetent you stand no chance of getting a refund for fraud. (If that is the case of course - the best solution for you is that the money is still in the account).0 -
For a start, try to telephone her. And can you telephone the bank?
For that amount of money, it would be worth going there to have a word with them in person.0
