Some great advice, send for everything.
As said often the card lenders insure against default, so the Signed paperwork is sent to the insurance and often never sent back, the lenders get paid out and re-coup a bit by selling the file.
None of what you pay the debt collector goes to the lender, the collector pockets the lot.
But if they can not cough up the paper work and the lender wont be troubled to give them it, they have washed their hands of the debt, then the collector can do no more than ask, or send a fake unsigned copy, or even forge it if they can get hold of your signature, so beware how you sign any letters, use an X mark instead of a signature.
This will be a right shot across the bows, they dont cough up the paper work, you can sit and thumb your nose as the law then sits on your side.
PS great advice Chippy !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
