Hi All, My husband and I have been in our newbuild home for almost 5 years and done absolutely no decorating at all mainly due to not having the time. I really appreciate all of the advice in response to my original post.

I got my husband to fix the leak in the bathroom (turned out it was just a loose joint around the taps). I then painted the WHOLE downstairs toilet with damp seal. Although it said one coat was enough, I still did two!

I just need to repaint the ceiling and walls now!
